Deleting A Pol User But forgot pw?

So i created a user profile on my pol viewer for my cousins account and though i know his information to log into the game i forgot the account password for his pol user. Any way to remove it w/o having to uninstall pol viewer, note that you cant log in on guest member if the pol id has a profile on your viewer already saved.

had the same thing happen to me basically.

GM's said the only way is to have your friend give you his login , once your logged in , you can remove it ,

or Reinstall POL.

Is there no file i can modify or delete in the pol viewer? Im the one who put the pw and i dont remember it. =/

don't confuse reinstalling POL with FFXI entirely, it's really not a long process just downloading/installing POL, no 1000's of ppl downloading at once etc.

probably would get it done faster than looking around for a file also

POLViewer directory > usr > all > delete "login_w"

But be warned this will remove all login data not just your cousins, so make sure if you have multiple user profiles you know all the info to add them again before you remove the file

Yes, on PS2 delete POL Viewer and reinstall/update it. You can't get into the hard drive to mess with individual files, the drive is digitally signed and using a proprietary file system. If we could edit files on PS2 like that, everyone would be using FFXIStyle and FFXICartography.
