    Video Capture

What I'm looking to do is capture video and audio for games. I've tried Fraps and have a full version of it, but I get chops in my video. When setting the fps to 60 which is the highest fps choice. I was wondering what programs you guys used to record videos with?

If your game is hitting FPS lower than 60, it'll look choppy at times when the frame rate drops. Similarly, if your game doesn't reach 60 fps ever while recording, this will also look like choppiness as the frame rate will be conformed to 60fps at source - not the best way!

Record at something you know the game will never drop to, like 30 or 24 fps. Choppiness could also be due to playing back the uncompressed captures. Try converting to something like 720p h264 at 30 or 24p, something you'll be more likely to find on youtube et al.
