Mother's Day

Mother's day is May 9 this year. You weren't even thinking about it, were you? Yeah, me either, until I went into the grocery store and saw some mother's day-themed displays. Thank fuck they decorated and rolled out the special merch crazy early this year. Anyway, what are your plans and ideas for mother's day this year? Do you have a tradition for this holiday, or do you do something different every year? I'm still sort of shopping for ideas.

Last year, my gf got some Boyd's Bears the mall was giving away for my mom. This year it's a set from B&B Works. Thankfully my mom doesn't make too big a deal of it.

May 9th my mom is gonna be on an airplane (which she HATES) after spending like 4-5 days driving cross country with me. Not sure what I can do, but maybe will get her some flowers and write a nice card. Prob just send my stepmom a card.

oh shiz. thanks for the reminder of mothers day. im going to norway/sweden in a few weeks though. i cant spend money on shit. ill probably just draw her a picture or something lol. ill put some good time on it and actually color it for once on painter 9 and borrow a tablet or something for detailing. im sure she'll love it. i usually like to do sketches anyway. it gives off such a good feel from your pen and emotions you give off in each stroke before you go on inking, but i gotta switch it up once in awhile

I feel you on that my brother lol. I hate seeing people not talking to their parents because of some petty shit or because they are trying to be hard. People take shit for far too often and fail to look at the flip side of a situation. I cant tell you how much I respect you for that one.

Some parents are indeed shitty and are seemingly a waste of space but they still are your parents. They love you with all of your faults, its awfully selfish to not do the same. I mean walk in someone elses shoes, its been 7 years since I last heard my moms voice or even touched her, I used to take that shit for granted too but anything I can do to help someone to appreciate someone just a little bit more makes me feel a little bit better about being such a shitty son in some cases.
