I've been using a Linksys USB network adapter for my PC, and it tends to disconnect when ever I unplug/replug in something it any other USB jack or open the CD tray. Is there a way to remedy this?

Shot in the dark but having it on a USB HUB with its own power cord could help. I think it's an electricity problem more than anything, reading specs it uses 480 mA which is about the cap of an USB port. Opening CD tray or inserting something else may fluctuate the Amperage even for a few seconds therefore provoking a disconnection.
Really I have no idea... all I can think of.
