Wireless issues on linksys e2000 router.

I was not going to originally post this issue, as I thought I just had a faulty router. However the exact same problem has just started on my girlfriends router (same exact model) so now I figured I would ask here before returning 2 routers....

The issue is with the routers wireless feature. At my house I have 10 Mbps download, my girlfriend has 20 Mbps download speeds. Everyday the wireless connection drops to under .50 Mbps(or slower sometimes) but my Internet speed stays the same on a wired device.

If I manually hard reset the router, it fixes the issue for a few hours. Yet the issue still pops up everyday.

I have the latest firmware on both routers, and linksys support blamed my ISP. So I'm at a loss.

While the download speed drops to nothing, the upload speed stays unchanged with no loss in speed.

This issue is also occurring on 2 different ISP's (RCN, and Comcast)

I had issues on a Linksys router myself not that model, but thankfully I was able to flash it with DD-WRT and that solved the problem for me...

I can't apparently post links because I'm not a forum nut... ANYWAYS go to DD-WRT dot com and click on the router database search for your model there.

I *THINK* the e2000 is supported, just make sure to check model AND revision # before trying to flash ANYTHING.
