I have an interview for a different job that I have a very large chance of getting. It pays more than my current job but it means I have to move to the Renton, WA area (About two hours south of where I currently live).
Right now I still live with my parents so I'm getting a pretty good deal on... Everything really, I pay rent but not very much. My biggest expense right now is my car payments. However if I take the job/move out my expenses will increase dramatically.
This is where my net income stands currently:
$1,593.60 per month (Only after taxes)
This is where my net income stands if I get the new job:
$3,522.00 per month (Only after taxes) (This includes an estimated mileage of 150/day at .51 per mile. Math: 150*.51*20=1,530.00, 1,992.00+1,530.00= 3,522.00)
Right now in my current situation that is a lot. But after I start budgeting:
Current:
Car: 600/month
Phone: 95/month
Rent: 300/month
Insurance: 40/month
Car Insurance: Lumped in with rent
Fuel: 72/month (If I were to only drive too and from work)
Groceries: Included in rent
Electricity: Included in rent
Total Expenses: 1,107.00
Budgeted if I get/accept job:
Car: 600/month
Phone: 95/month
Rent: 1,000/month
Insurance: 50/month
Car Insurance: 200/month
Fuel: 540/month (Only 150 miles per day)
Groceries: 300/month
Electricity: 120/month
Total Expenses: 2,905.00
Current leftovers:
486.60
If I accept the job
617.00
After putting 20% into savings like a good boy
Current
389.28
If I get/accept the job:
493.60
I have a feeling I'm missing a few things in my budget but I have no fucking clue as to what.
Can anyone give me hints and tips?
