Varicocele Surgery

Long story short after a year of attempting to conceive the wife and I are now taking the next steps of the process. I have a condition called a varicocele where a vericose vein is recycling waste filled blood back down into my boys, killing sperm. Has anyone ever had this procedure done? I'm told it's an outpatient process that takes about 40 minutes. If you've gone through it I would appreciate if you let me know what to expect. Gracias.

Well John, they're going to cut your balls. They're going to immobilize the leaky veins and then they're going to sew you back up. However, keep in mind that varicocele surgery will result in an improvement in sperm count and motility in only about 30% of patients. But I wish you the best of luck and I hope the doctor takes good care of your bait and tackle. Also, it's normally done with local anesthetic and you're put into a 'twilight' state. I personally haven't had this done, but I had a cyst removed from my johnson, which was stabbed with a needle and then sliced open and it wasn't really that bad. You should be fine. Wear Boxers after.

Should you require ice afterward, I recommend getting a jock strap, removing the cup, and substituting one of the small flat freezer blocks around 4"x6"x1". Buy two and you'll always have a cold one ready to swap in when the current one warms up.

Also its not so much that the veins are putting waste into your nuts and killing the sperm, the blood is over heating your nuts and is killing them off. Basically your veins are leaky and don't shut all the way.

Argument #1 against Intelligent Design: Sperm cannot be created at body temperature. That's why nuts dangle outside the body, they need to be cooler than your body in order for sperm to survive.

No fucking way, I have this too. It scared the shit out of me when I was younger and I first discovered it; finding a strange mass in your ballsack as a 12 year old is pretty unsettling. I didn't know about the infertility, however. Does a varicocele cause diminished sperm count in all those who have one?

Surgery completed. Instead of finding one varicocele the doc found five and they were all massive. He thinks that will be a huge help with trying to conceive. I can honestly say that this is the most uncomfortable I've ever been in my life. But on the plus side they tossed me some oxy's before I left and the wife is filling up the perc prescription. I must say I was disappointed when they shaved me. I told them I wanted a design or something. Fuckers.
