Error Code:POL-1160

Ok i keep geting:

Error CodeOL-1160

Network is busy or their are connection problems. Please try again later or verify that cables, networking devices, and or network settings are properly configured.

i bring up pol try to log get it about 3/4 times, 1/4 times i get onto pol, get to ffxi screen and hit the play button, says checking for updates and gives me it again. If i hit retry get the same error over and over. If i try and restart i get it on pol over and over untill i get threw to ffxi then get the error there. My network is fine, i can access the internet fine. Any ideas?

I have my router hooked to a linksy wireless router and the compuer is running off the wifi from that yes. Although i tryed unooking the wireless router and running the internet strait from the land router to the computer with no luck. Same error.

Same issue for me here. But I was able to go to playonline.com after 3 trys.

I'm getting it too. Been getting it since 4pm GMT, my PC is connected via an ethernet cable. was able to get up to the checking for updates on ffxi main page, but now I can't even log into PoL.

Same story. Web browser will connect everywhere but playonline website too unless it's refreshed a few times.

Retrying login with Pol doesn't seem to get through.

Just trying to log on to ffxi not the pol website. I can get on pol website fine.

UK here. Guessing we just have to wait it out. Slyph seems to have gone down partially too, so I guess somethings f'ing up somewhere with their kit.

Though I posted in wrong thread, as I'm getting POL-0019. Not 1160, but if this random amount of people unable to log on, something is wrong somewhere?

I'm unable to resolve the address via ping either. So naturally I can't access PlayOnline.com as well.

I get 1160 after about half a minute of "checking Playonline version," it never even makes the modem sound effects. After a few times spamming Retry I also got an 0019 about 3 seconds after hitting it, so the two are probably related?
