WoW/SWTOR beind a school connection?

Buddy of mine is trying to play WoW/SWTOR on his school wi-fi connection. It seems like they have some ports blocked that is required to play the games.

So i'm trying a program called wowtunnels currently, and it doesn't seem to work at all. What are other options for a easy to use proxy in order to play this game?

Told him to call the school network tech, but no one seems to be answering the phone.

Is he just unable to play or is he unable to update? I remember my friend has to go to some third party site to get the patches before he can play.

go to the administration of the web for the college and tell them to unblock the ports for wow's updater. they should do it np

Yea, i'm a idiot.

I was telling him to launch launcher, not the actual game.... completely missed the memo about not being able to update via a proxy. He said game works just fine, but i'm gonna tell him just to contact IT to unblock all the ports for his connection. Otherwise, i'm sure same thing will happen if he ever becomes non-jewish and pays for xbox live.
