This is just my personal feeling on games that force you to level to endgame so quick (I have no interest in repetitive instances and battle, I like content)
I think spending 6-8months hitting level, and the rest of the first year to gear up, then the next part of a second year getting the best pvp gear is a nice balance of time and money. But if they are in it for a quick buck, it seems a bit underhanded to take 50-100 dollars from everyone that put money in for a years worth of product, and then just take the money and run(Like in Aion, they just took the money, added 1 expansion and that is it, game over. The new 3.0 stuff from what iv seen is just the old stuff promised long ago, nothing new). Hell I played FFXI for years, they sure drained my bank account, and I think its due to the fact, that every day, there was always something to do, something new, something better to always try and get.
It all really goes back to my question of, how much content is there in the game once your max level, and things like exploring and reading dialog from npc's is useless since you did it all. Grinding out in 1-2 end game dungeons for months on end gets boring, and eventually you run outa stuff to get from games that only offer 1 set of gear for endgame(2 if you count a pvp and a pve set). FF had so many different things you could use depending on what you where doing and what job you where, from those playing WoW, what is it about the endgame that makes you want to play at 50, or even start at 50 from the start, that you don't already have or already have done? What is available in tera to make me want to pay for another year of gameplay...
Don get me wrong, its a fun game to play, and I will be playing it, I just give a warning, like a candle, you can burn it from both sides, you can dip it in more wax, but if you don't replace the core wick its useless. I prefer a oil lamp, you make a beautiful cover for the flame, and slowly let the oil in to light the room, and avoid burning all the oil in a big bright ball.
