I wanted to try this exercise out so I put the weight over my head and tried to do a squat to see what kind of weight I was capable of and the balance required was nuts. I couldn't do it with any noticeable weight at all. Maybe the balance is easier if you do it proper and start from all the way down but holy shit

overhead squat requires really good thoracic mobility, i find it tough to get low with a lot of weight because the tendency is to lose the weight in front of me
snatching is also fairly tough, i'm bad at getting under the bar so if i can't catch it with minimal knee bend, i'm not locking it out
basically if your stability in an overhead squat position isn't good, then it'll be tough to catch it in that position

my best power snatch (caught above parallel) is pretty laughable although in my defense, it was done after a grueling squat session
