See title. My galaxy nexus one came with version 4.1 whatever and for the last 2 months I've had an obnoxious update message to update to 4.2.1.
I had my phone unlocked and rooted with BusyBox, Clockwork and whatever else that obligitory rooting crap is called. When prompted to install the update it will restart and go to the boot menu thing then gives you a selection but once it tries installing it gives me an authentication failure and fails.
I thought maybe it couldn't update while it is rooted, so I unrooted it and relocked it again, but still it does the same thing and won't update. I am content to not even have the stupid update except that the "install update" prompt appears CONSTANTLY and it even interupts whatever you are doing including using other apps or texting.
Any advice? Thanks.
Edit: Finally managed to get the system update installed. I had to unlock the bootloader again and use the nexus toolkit to flash the google stock rom. Took so much work reading about what to do but its over.
