Network printer showing up in wireless networks (security risk)

For some reason, my network printer (which I print to from within my home network, and has an IP address in the 192.168.0.X range) also shows up in the list of available wireless networks to connect to (along with my actual network).

I can connect to it as if it were its own wireless network, without a password, from outside my network. This means anyone else can, too. When connecting in this way, it has an IP address of 192.168.223.X, and does not have internet access.

How do I fix this, so it doesn't show up to all outside users as its own network, and what is my risk right now while people are able to connect to it? I'm not sure you can actually use it this way, as I have not had any mysterious printouts yet, and the printer has been like this for a while. I just never really noticed that it was broadcasting its SSID as its own network before.

Just turn the wireless function off? This should be straightforward as far as I'm aware.

Is there a way to turn off the SSID broadcast?

    Sorry, it's HP M1217nfw!

I do want to be able to print to it via the network, it's not physically connected to anything.

It just feels wrong to see it listed in the available wireless network list along with my neighbors' networks. That's not how you print to it, anyways. You print to it from within my actual network. It just also broadcasts as its own network, for some reason.

I'd be able to figure it out if I could look at the web interface of the printer but yeah, all I can say is go through the menus and disable broadcasting.
