I tried to include the major GOTY contenders from around the interwebs along with a few surprises!

I had to double check if Ys IX was this year, seems so long ago, lol.
I played 6 titles from the list, I guess I'd choose Endwalker simply because nothing else could came close to the excitement I had waiting for it and playing the MSQ, which, mostly, did not disappoint. However RE8 is a strong second contender for me.
Other games I played:
- It Takes Two - very fund title but it's not a type of a game I'd even consider for a GOTY
- Scarlet Nexus - I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it, I initially dismissed the game after playing the demo, but gave it another try on game pass and it actually hooked me in with the fun combat - I think my problem with the demo was that you were immediately thrown in with all the skills etc and it was overwhelming. However the game also has a lot of annoying elements, which put a damper on the overall experience plus the story is quite a mess, so a GOTY it is not
- Ys IX - Ys games overall are always a lot of fun gameplay wise, however I enjoyed this far less than VIII, so...

I watched a let’s play for Little Nightmares 2 so I guess that gets my vote. I like the art style and the story was good, but I know I’d prob suck playing it myself.

+1 on Halo, played the absolute shit out of multiplayer when it dropped best time i've had running and gunning in years.

otherwise Forza was the feel good hit of the winter, Returnal remains the best exclusive of the young 13th or whatever the fuck console generation we're in, and think Pathfinder WOTR was my most played game of the year with its fuckin bloated ass 100+ hour narrative (p good one tho).
