I've loved Scrubs ever since it started, but I'm seriously doubting this whole "new format" that the producers are talking about... Thoughts?

Why can't he make a new topic for the new season? We do it with every other show (see Smallville on this page of Bentertainment). Plus its better than necrobumping that thread.
On topic: I'm not sure of how to take the new direction, but at the same time more Sarah Chalke is always good even if only for a few transition episodes.
How are they going to keep Turk around and not Carla? Or was there something I missed at the end of season 8?
Because you can have Turk without Carla in a Med School setting (her working at the hospital/being a stay at home mom). I'm honestly interested to see where it goes because while I never saw Paper Chase (tv series) the movie was amazing and I could honestly dig having Cox in a classroom setting.
Scrubs is quite possibly my favorite show, after Zach left, they should have just stopped it. Just wouldn't be the same if they tried to continue on without him. Then again, I love McGinley as Cox, such an awesome actor. I'lll probably watch it to see where it is headed, but I hope they don't turn it into a serious show and keep the humor it has always had.
My watching this show hinges on whether or not Janitor will be back. First I heard he won't be back, now wikipedia says he'll be in the first episode, and seems to suggest he might be in the whole season.
No Janitor = No Deal
I might check it out, to see how they transition. If it ends up sucking, I can just pretend the last season's finale was the real finale, since it worked as one.
The new format has a lot to do with the fact that after the whole switch to ABC, they felt that it was going to be the last season, that and the fact that Zach said he wasn't going to come back. At that point, most of the cast started entertaining offers to do pilots for sitcoms. Judy Reyes I believe had mentioned something about wanting to go do some Broadway plays after S8 was over. John C. McGinley I believe is staring in a new movie and I don't remember what Donald Faison was reportedly working on. So in light of these projects, if they were going to bring the show back they had to change the format. However, I would've rather have liked to see the interns kind of take over and let the main characters pass the torch instead of doing the mini web series for the interns.
It pains me to see they'll probably ruin this by not letting it die. Nothing that comes back after it first ended is ever good, cases in point:
Napoleon Bonaparte
Michael Jordan
Brett Favre
Cept...Jorden and Favre both went to championships after saying they would be done.
I'm looking forward to Janitor's new show more then the new season of Scrubs. But I can't say I'd totally ignore the show, would be stupid to say / do so.
Null I got mad props for your FoD contributions, but MJ was inconsistent and nowhere near his old self with the Wizards and the last time Favre won the championship, the Twin Towers were still standing. He's waffled 3 offseasons now only to finally return to the Packers, Jets, and now the Vikings - none of which he had much success with.
None with much Success? He led the Packers to Overtime in the championship game, set half the records that season and was second place for league MVP.
Yeah, he totally failed that season.
Jordan went on to WIN multiple Championships, MVP, and set league win records upon his return.
Sounds like such a horrible comeback.
For real? Did you actually WATCH the NFC Championship? He didn't even win his CONFRENCE, let alone the Lombardi - and let's not forget WHY they lost that game. They lost it cause of him.
And no one counts MJ's baseball retirement. I was clearly refering to his Wizards comeback when he was actually an age to be retired.
My god, I can't even continue this after that post.
Wow, I've now got a horrid splitting headache.
Some new things:
Returning from the new set of interns of Season 8 is Denise Jo Mahoney, the "cold hearted bitch."
The show will take place an unconfirmed amount of years after Season 8 and JD and Elliot will be married with a child on the way.
Sacred Heart from Seasons 1-8 has been torn down. In the process of building a new Sacred Heart they decided for economic reasons to attach it to a local med school (and it's still not complete)
Also Janitor is only in the first episode apparently because his remake of Malcolm in the Middle got picked up as a series.
If it's still a comedy and has the milf from gilmore girls I'll try it >.>a
Saw the first commercial today, can't believe the show is starting so soon! Hell, just a few days. Will watch it but not expecting much. Doesn't even look like they are using the interns they built up last season.
