PC Version Install Question

I am a PS2 player, my friend is going to send me a copy of FFXI formy laptop. My question is, can I use my PS2 Registration codes. He says that I can, but I am thinking that I will not be able to.

going from PS2 to PC is like going from PC to PC all you need is the content ID and know your password and your good to go

The registration codes in the back of the manual are only needed when you open your account. After you've done that and have your POL ID and password set up, you can play on any platform in any language as long as you have a copy of the game. So yeah, you'll be fine...just install the PC version from somebody else's CDs and log on to your POL account, it'll work.

Ok so what I was thinking after I posted was that the registration codes are for accounts not the software. They make all thier money off account fees, so I don't even need registration codes for the software. I know my accounts will work no problem, I have done that before. Its the install of the software on my PC/Laptop.

Ok thats what I was thinking. The money is in the accounts not the software. Oh and for the updates, go to Boston all day and pray that I do not get POL - 0011 lol.

also - just make sure you install zilart and cop before you do any updating, otherwise you will have to repeatedly do 12000 file update... my friend was dumb and made that mistake heh...
