I have searched for how to obtain this scythe on a couple sites, but haven't found any topics.

Its pretty much the highest dmg scythe you can get for lolbst, and I would like one just for that purpose (Main reason I am keeping scythe capped on bst is so I can focus on Great Sword on my drk as I level). The only other scythe that has 90 base dmg is Garuda's sickle, which would also be nice, but I don't see myself doing the alliance avatar fights anytime soon.

So does anyone have any idea on how to obtain this? I have heard ideas about ISNM's, Assault, ToA NM's, but no concrete evidence on what drops it.

I searched around a bit for info too, didn't find any. Wondering if its just another phantom .dat entry that doesn't exist in the game - somepage loves posting those to toy with you.

Yeah I figured some blm's would like it for skillups and messing around, thats why I am unsure if it even exists. You would think somebody would have stumbled upon it by now.

Suzy Scythe is practicly free if you belong to a Sky LS.... and has a better DPS rating.

Every time I see blm equipable scythe, I remember this picture posted two years ago on gamefaqs showing a BLM/SMN doing poison nail --> guillotine + Freeze MB.

It also doesnt close distortion. It could be induration, but poison nails doesnt open that.

Have bunky out, then hit poison nails macro, then hit freeze macro

Anyways, if you don't have Aquilo's Staff, then this scythe would be nice to macro in for dark magic spells.. since it has the same amount of INT as Ice Staff.

Might be nice for BLMs in uncapped ballista though :D

Actually, I wanted to test if +Dark skill on a weapon was better for aspir/drain than using dark/pluto staff. For dark abilities, I *believe* it is just +dark skill, and that boosting INT or other stats has no effect. I assume dark/pluto staff lowers the resist rate of landing full drain/aspir, but I haven't tested that either - I just equip mine because that is what other blm I know do. I been toying with the idea of equipping blackjack and dark torque just for apsir's

I don't really want to whack stuff with scythe, I got other jobs for melee...and my scythe is only up to around lvl 30, when I was a noob I went first job as war with scythe through jungle

Should be using Dark Torque anyways as it up's your max. As for weapon you could test with http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/5299 vs. NQ Dark Staff as a cheap comparison.

The picture was grimace as a scythe wielding BLM/SMN doing poison nails to vorpal scythe for distortion with a freeze burst, likely made by tempyst but it could have been chilicheese.
