800 MS points (~10bucks?).

I know I'm not the only one here looking forward to this game. Been a long time since I've been able to play it.

Looking forward to beating the game all the way with Alucard and then Richter.

(Port is of the PSX version, not the Saturn one with the extra areas).

Crissaegrim or Shield Rod/Alucard Shield. Actually, I'm not sure which of those is worse... Criss tears shit up fast, but the shield's capped damage + healing is just as nuts.

Crissaegrim or Shield Rod/Alucard Shield. Actually, I'm not sure which of those is worse... Criss tears shit up fast, but the shield's capped damage + healing is just as nuts.

The rod makes you stop moving while you swing. Either one can burn through the rest of the game, just Crissaegrim does it faster. Double chakrams is fun, and you can get them before hitting the second castle. Jewel sword is redundant only because if you farmed for the chakrams you probably have more cash than you can use anyway.

Why would you swing the rod? Just charge up the shield, hold it in front of you, and run for dear life, destroying anything in your path.

i liked the Masamune style swords and other related ones with the dissapearing behind attack style. i used those all the way to the end. fun shit. i wanna play it now god damnit

Not really. A ton of the XBLA games were never owned by MS. The Mario analogy is a shitty one, since its a 1st party game. Castlevania wasnt developed by any of the 3 major console companies, so they will just bring their games to whatever system they think will get them the most money.
