Shinobi Ring - use like Sorc Ring?

I just had a funny idea.

If you had some macro lowering your HP into yellow similar to our loved BLMs you could have Shinobi Ring always active!


Gear I tought of in a rush that lower HP:

Scouters Rope
Various Shura Pieces
Serket Ring
Ether Ring


Hmm it would indeed be lots of inv space for a little advantage/fun. Then again ppl camp months for 2% more Haste

But can't you get to the the cap using other gear and not sacrificiting 5 acc on your ring finger, + the thought of getting one / two shotted from something?

I've thought about it, but I'm hard pressed to find a place it'd be useful. It's just like the lvl70 JSE earring, the only time I've put it to good use is in the Assault breaking down those walls. I would just go outside and let a Colibri put me into the red, then go nuts on the non-fighting-back walls (reminds me of the bonus level smashing a car in Street Fighter). But even as an Elvaan, I wouldn't want to constantly be in yellow HP, I've had enough Fang Rush/Firespit related deaths as is.

If it's like Sorc ring it's 75% of your natrual Hitpoints. So you can be in the white.

As Gilanth said, it's based off of natural, so the ring is still active while im in white.

Not that this is a HUGE difference, but the effect is actually when HP is less than 76%, so if it were 75.xx% it would still work.

No, it's less than 76%. Meaning anywhere from 0.000...1% to 75.999...8%.

i once partied with a ninja that wore the ring + earring and insisted to be at 200 hp. After he died 4 times in 4 mobs i disbanded, because he still insisted his haste was totally worth it. (mamools @ staging point)

No, letting him die a few times is funnier. If he is going to drag you out there for gimp merits, you might as well get a few chuckles out of it.

You can be in white on blm because you usually have z.mitt equiped. Ninja on the other hand never have "-hp" in their default gear (I cant think of any -hp gears that would equip).

If you have high enough hp that you could survive being ganked with less than 76%, and mages weren't constantly curing you out of that range, you could have the ring and life belt and have +10 acc +5% haste instead of +5 acc and +4%(6% if you have a speed belt, 1 more haste 5 less acc).

Anytime you take damage a mage is gonna cure you and I doubt they're gonna care to be precise in keeping you less than 76%, you'll only have the effect part of the time and you're giving up a valuable ring slot.

Swift Belt has accuracy too you know.

So its a trade of gaining 2 accuracy for 1% haste.

So basicly that swap is totally not worth it. A better swap would be turban for O-hat. Or the Koga Hakama for the dualwield enhancement over Haidate since the dualwield doesn't stack per sec with haste and won't count towards the cap.
