Not a Pokemon Fan and just want to talk trash? GTFO.

Seeing as the game is shipping today and people will be getting it today or tomorrow figured we could start a thread awhile for it. If it's anything like the Japanese one it will have it's own independent friend codes aside from the Wii code. So please post your friend code if you pick it up and I'll update it into the original post.

check late edition of sunday paper(the one that comes out saturday night) for the target/toysrus/best buy/etc ads. if they advertise them they will have them in stock at opening on sunday. thats the best bet as to reliably find one without calling places every day and asking if they have them in stock or not.


personally, i just thought...ok, where's a neighborhood that won't care about the wii as much. went to the walmart there, and sure enough, at 6PM in the evening they still had 7 of them in the case.

there is no single player story campaign, it's simple battling colliseums for points to buy stuff in the shop, or battling over wifi. it's kinda nice of a game, definitely not everything i was hoping for tho.

I'll be geting this in a few weeks, trying to get another connection for my wii before I do. Doing nothing but battles is fine but they could of at least added mini-games like from poke'mon stadium :/

yea i was hoping for at least SOMETHING else. however there is stuff in the shop that you can buy for your DS games and transfer over, buncha different TM's and some held items like leftovers.

edit: also forgot, people are talking about when you upload pokemon to it from D/P it can tell on nonlegit ones and wont let them work. so as far as battling online goes, its nice for forcing some legit pokes.

Not worth buying IMO, just because all it has is the arena battles.

Definitely worth giving it a rent though.

its worth buying if you have D/P and want to battle online, the graphics are beautiful and definitely better than battling on the DS. If you dont have the DS games tho, no, i wouldnt even consider it.

Even with the DS games I don't really see the point... sure it will be fun for a week or two, but after that it would probably get rather boring heh...

And you can always keep it if you rent it from gamefly if you really like it that much.

Then again, to each his own. I just don't think i'll spend 50 bucks on a game that i'll play only for a couple of weeks before I get tired of it.

for me i'll use it for all my battling, and at the cost of renting games i'd rather just buy it.

but yea, if you arent big into the battling, there isnt really much reason to pick it up, if you really want a nicer looking way to battle your pokemon that you used, its a great way to go, and a lot more legit.
