I forgot to attend my Summons for Jury Service (got postponded 1 time earlier in the year due to school) D: Have anyone been through this and know what happens when you do? I heard it's not something nice at all, is it?

You can either call or visit your county Jury Assembly office (early in the morning) and explain your situation. In my county 9 times out of 10, theyll put you in the Jury pool (which means youll fill in for a panel that is short people) for the day, put you on a call-in program where you call every day for a certain amount of time to see if you need to report the next day, or if theyre full they can set a new service date.

Protip To avoid serving jury duty: During your interview slip in that you hate minorities in some way or another. This will help you avoid sleeping in a run down days inn.

You should be dying your hair in a sink, grabbing a change of clothes from a clothesline in someone's backyard, hotwiring a car by connecting two wires that hang loosely under every car's steering wheel, and leaving the country.

After the first time I got jury summons, I've never ever gone again. I've never been contacted about not appearing, but if I were to I was just prepared to say I never got the summons. If my Gamefly games can get lost in the mail and never reach me, same thing can happen to a jury summons. I actually hear it's pretty common too.

Act racist, you won't have to do it. Some of the people will straight out ask you how you feel about said race/religion. Sucks if they are white though, I hate white people is hard to say to white people. The religion thing will work as well though.

It works out nicely for me, I personally know a lot of attorneys around here due to where I work. So I have a nice excuse of: not wanting/feeling comfortable to divulge personal info to defense/prosecution counsel, of which I have a professional working relationship. Thats verbatim what I say lol. :]

Judges are cracking down on this type of stuff now, you will actually stay longer during the pooling process and be asked multiple questions by the DA and the judge. If they catch you telling a lie, they will call you out on it. There has even been cases where the DA has even trialed potential jury members of Perjury in Court......Not Fun, however if you get convicted you never have to do jury duty again lol.

As for missing... call the number on your papers ASAP, and explain the situation to them. Majority of the time, you will just get re-bumped to a list off the random pool to have to serve in another case. Ignore it, and there will be a warrant out for your arrest within 3 months.
