Level 35 Drop Rates (Caution: More superstitions)

After much looking into it - I've become either very superstitious about how 35s drop.

Things are just seeming far too coincidental to me. I was going to initially post this in the Bhaflau Moon Phase thread, but didn't want to derail it.

We've been relatively showered with Hizaku drops, as well as Deimos's and Freyr's - but have yet to see a single Enlil's or Macha's piece drop.

Demios's Cuirass: 4 drops - 20 kills
Definitely a decent drop rate compared to other numbers I've seen. Three of our four drops came in consecutive nights, and two of the dropped at exactly 1:56 am EST. The party setup in the double Deimos run was MNK, RDM, SMN, THF, WHM, BRD - BLM, PUP.... The run the following night was MNK, RDM, BLU, THF, SMN, WHM - BLM.

Macha's Coat: 0 drops - 22 kills
This seems to be fairly common amongst groups.

Psycheflayer: 0 drops - 14 kills
This wouldn't bother me so much if I haven't seen groups have 3 for 3 drop rates on this NM. If it was a 10% drop rate, that's a 0.1% chance that someone would go 3 for 3 - and a 22.8% chance we'd go 0 for 14... I think they are doing something differently from us.

Hizaku Hakama: 2 drops - 13 kills
Freya's Ledelsens: 3 drops - 13 kills
Enlil's Kolluks: 0 drops - 13 kills
We got no drops over our first four kills, and got 5 drops over the next 9.

Hizaku Kabuto: 2 drops - 8 kills
What's really odd here is the way this has dropped. We are 0/6 on this NM when having any sort of TH (0/5 with TH4, 0/1 with TH1)... but 2/2 when we do not bring a THF or /THF. The pattern has been so far "no drop, no drop, no drop, *drop*, no drop, no drop, no drop, *drop*" - but that's probably pure coincidence.

Macha's Slops: 0 drops - 6 kills

Enlil's Crackows: 0 drops - 5 kills

Freya's Gloves: 0 drops - 3 kills

Demios's Cuisses: 0 drops - 7 kills

To sum things up...
Hizaku: 4 drops - 21 kills (19.05%)
Demios: 4 drops - 27 kills (14.81%)
Freya: 3 drops - 16 kills (18.75%)

Enlil: 0 drops - 18 kills (0.00%)
Macha: 0 drops - 42 kills (0.00%)

If possible - please post your drop rates on various 35 pieces - and if any of you have noticed a distinctive pattern. Numbers like these make me think that something is being overlooked in how we do things.

My group only goes twice a week and we've only done Bhaflau/Arrapago thus far (spammed the hell out of Bhaflau/LBC getting initial armor for people). Haven't been going a super long time, and enter with 9-12 people. I don't have a lot of supporting data other than memory, unfortunately, as far as conditions. For the 35s, we've only had TH3 present (couldn't wear hands) 1 time when we got 1 Enlil's Kolluks. Rest is negligible TH. Hope this helps.

Our experience with Bhaflau 35s has been astoundingly lucky -

Gate Widow (fought Reactionary Rampart on 2 occasions, usually 4-6 widows):
Enlil's Brayettes - 1
Macha's Cuffs - 1

Skirmish Pephredo (fought Reactionary Rampart on 6ish occasions, only seen NM once or more on the last 2 attempts):
Freya's Mask - 0
Hikazu Sune-Ate - 2

Have not tried for 3F/4F Ramparts.

Arrapago we've done 5ish farming runs thus far -

QQA (Killed once a run):
Deimos's Cuirass - 0

QQTH (Killed once a run, either 3F or 4F):
Macha's Coat - 0

Archaic Chariot (Killed twice):
Enlil's Kolluks - 2
Hikazu Hakama - 0
Freya's Ledelsens - 0

Have not tried Bhoot/Psycheflayer NMs or multiple QQAs of the same type.

I think Bhaflau 1F Rampart has a higher chance of being 'On' than other floors due to the fact that it's really a 50% chance of trigger popping.

The problem with deriving drop rates from player reports is things like this (no offense, SK_FFXI). You can't get near an accurate drop rate if people are approximating, because approximations can be off by a lot, and often are.

Yeah, sorry about that. But I posted more to emphasize the New Moon since the OP seems more interested in patterns/conditions of drop, as superstitious they might be, rather than raw droprate.

2/6 on Deimos's Cuirass so far... both dropped from the 5FQQA, one was 5FS other was 5FN.
Wondering if its possible that killing the QQA or QQTH on lower floor increases drop rate on higher floors.

I doubt that's the case, our group kills all 4 of the QQ NMs every Arrapago run (as I'm sure many others do) and we're still 0/30ish on Deimos.

Lately we had bad luck on Archaic chariot in Arrepago, we dint get any 35 pieces in about 5 runs.
Couple days ago I talked to my ls member who is HK and goes with a HK group for salvage. He told me whenever his group enters between 9:30-9:40 PM EST they get a 100% drop from the chariot. So far I tested this once 2 days ago.
Entered at 9:35, killed all QQs + Soulflyer - no drops, killed Archaic Chariot - 35 NIN legs drop.
Gonna try to enter same time again this week and see.

That's interesting about the time, but could be purely coincidental obviously or have more to it involving time (Zhayolm). My group typically enters between 9:30pm EST and 10 on Sundays, but this past week we had HNM camps and entered just before Midnight on Sunday, and then at ~12:30am EST Monday and got back to back Enlil's Kolluks from the Archaic Chariot. I think we have another Arrapago farming run this upcoming Sunday so I'll try and timestamp it and see if I notice anything.

Just wanted to say do not always believe in bringing a THF for these 35 drops. My main ls group is 1/30 on Macha Coat, and yes this drop came with a THF4 in party. Recently I started a smaller salvage static group for a few farming runs a week, on our first Arrapago run...bam Macha drops on 3F QTH, we had no THF or /THF in party.
