PS2 Users Connection Problems @ Ix'aern DRG?

So we were farming sea today and all of a sudden, our PS2 users all d/c to a black screen at the same time... This isn't the first time it's happened at Ix'aern DRG. But it happens nowhere else but Ix'aern DRG. The second screenshot includes the problem extending to other LSes. Anyone else having similar problems?

Happens to several in our ls as well, all ps2 users. It's a bug that's been around for awhile. Not sure why SE hasn't fixed this yet =x

Nothing new, several of our LS's PS2 users don't even bother coming on ix'drg/drk hunts anymore because of the constant R0'ing.

When I was playing on my JP PS2 I never had problems in Ru Humet ever.

When u have your filters open to see things it tends to crash ur game. Happened when i played on my ps2, and happens to my LS mates. Very old bug. Ps2 limitations....etc.

My ls has had this problem several times. One time half of my ls dc'd right as Ix'DRG popped lol. ; ;

When I was on PS2 it happened all over both towers in Lumoria (any Ix or Jailer) really sucked to have most our ls dc'ing at random all the time.

People in my LS on PS2 or PS3 will DC out to the same thing anywhere in the palace, the garden, or Temenos. We've lost a bunch at all Ix'aerns, JoT, Ultima, etc etc. Has been happening for months and months.

Personally I assumed it had something to do with some texture or graphic of the temenos-like zones, as it happens anywhere in those types of areas, not just limited to the inner parts of al'taieu.

I could have sworn SE fixed that shit a few updates ago, but this was long after i stopped using ps2, so..guess not lol.

I play on (US) PS2 and I've never d/c'd at any of the Ix'aerns. So I'm going to have to go with what Tekki said about it being something with the filters since I keep most things filtered.

Same shit happens to my LS at Ix'aern Drk. Soon as the Aern whips out his bracelets all the PS2 users DC.

Never happens anywhere else, or against any other enemy.

When I played on PS2 I never got blackscreens. I remember when I first got access I decided I'd try to solo the map if I could and the day before I tried it I remembered reading about people having blackscreen issues there.

If it's just the bracelets that would explain why I didn't d/c then, but I've fought all the Ix'Aerns and never had a problem.

Even when other people were d/cing around me I stayed logged in.

Happens in our LS as well when farming Sea on Cerberus. We have learned that in ordeer to prevent the DC's, we farm in smaller groups. The decrease in lag seems to help the problem significantly. If you can farm with 6-8 people in an area at once, you should be better off
( less PS2 dc issues).

It's not just a filter issue. I have all my effects filters on for my PS2 and I still get black screened. If I'm in a small group trying to pop Drg or Drk I don't have a problem. Once we get more than 7-8 people all of the PS2ers start to crash. It usually only happens with the Aerns though.

Edit: This never happened when I first got sea a couple years ago. It's been happening for several months now though.

I have been having the same problem for a long time now, i have contacted GM's every time it happens and all they say is "we are looking into it" although it sucks its happening to more people i'm gald its not just me

I used to have this problem on my ps2 and ps3, but recently it has stopped. It is the Green-arm-bracelet WS the Aerns do that used to cause it (see the bracelts in the SS). I would run with all filters on, only able to see anything done directly to by myself. Before the fix, I had to turn my camera away from the fight and stand in a corner, keeping the Aern off my screen the whole time they were fighting (I am a WHM, so I can just cure using the ally menu, this wouldn't have worked if I was a melee ^^

Our last few runs at Ix'MNK and Ix'DRK I have had no problems. Not sure when it was fixed, but it was in update notes a while back and I have been fine ever since.

Obviously your LS members are RMT. That's why they all DC at once. Don't be fooled by blaming it on the PS2.

This has been an issue for me and a few other people in my shell on ps2 for a year and half or so.

I had this problem long ago, same with multiple bard songs animation going off at the same time would lag me to all hell. The solution I found to both problems, filter every single effect.
