    Annoying character model behavior

I installed a GeForce 7300GT yesterday to replace a shitty Radeon that couldn't run FFXI higher than 1280x768 or display avatars without lagging everything to shit. I'm using the latest ForceWare drivers recommended for FFXI (169.28) on WinXP Home.

With this new card, I've set graphics to 1600x1200 (overlay remains 800x600) and everything looks and runs great-- with one small problem. Every time a character draws on my screen (equip swap, zoning, etc.) it will fade in completely, then jerk slightly upwards. In other words, the bottom of the models are appearing a little lower in space than they should be and the game quickly corrects the position once they're drawn.

The movement is always up and to the left on the screen. Model position doesn't matter, so I doubt it's a .dat issue.

This is not a tremendous problem that interferes with the game, but it'd be nice to get rid of it.

Yes. Uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs and swept clean with DriverCleaner.
