Mercy Stroke has nothing to do with this. Took me about 30 seconds to provide the earlier link, which has all the information for each and every gorget. The gorgets themselves may not be newbie, but not knowing how to find which WS' are on which gorgets is.

Key word in that quote being gravitation. So you already knew this much, right?
When you clicked on Soil Gorget, I guess you must have missed the part that said
"Latent effect

* Active when using any Weapon Skill with a Skillchain attribute of Scission (and, by extension, Gravitation)
* Increases fTP multiplier by +0.1 and adds some amount of accuracy to all hits of the Weapon Skill. "
Key word again, being gravitation.

I'm not one to answer with math if I can show you better with screenshots. This is a tough one to answer though. The addition of 3 STR raised my peak by 11 (from 1710 to 1721). The Soil Gorget, when it hit on the high end, increased my damage from 1710 to 1751.


Peak Damages
Bare Neck minus Pixie (+0DEX, +0STR) = 1698
Bare Neck with Pixie (+0STR, +3DEX) = 1710
Chiv Chain minus Pixie (+3STR, +0DEX) = 1710
Chiv Chain with Pixie (+3STR, +3DEX)= 1721
Soil Gorget with Pixie (+0STR, +3DEX, Gorget) = 1751

Soil Gorget will work with Mercy Stroke and is still probably the best choice as a carryover from your old set.



Here are the conditions.

• THF main using SA on an enemy

• One hand implied (5% returns)

• The target was a Huge Hornet

D = Base weapon damage. I used a Mandau with each test which is base DMG 39.
fSTR = Difference between your STR and the target's VIT.
fTP = This is normally a multiplier based on the amount of TP you've stored. Since Mercy Stroke is 3.0 from 100% to 300% you shouldn't see this value change for this.
WSC = Weaponskill modifying stats. The Mercy Stroke WS is based off of 60% of your overall STR and we're using a level correction value of 0.83 since I did the test as a level 75 character.
DEX = Overall DEX
pDIF = Your ATT vs. the target's DEF

Lv73... 0.84
Lv72... 0.84
Lv67... 0.86 or 0.87 (perhaps 0.87)
Lv60... 0.90 or 0.91 (perhaps 0.90)
