Would it be unwise to hope that we'll see (one of) the new avatars for SMN added next update? (e.g. Alexander)

Not again.......just....no..
Don't expect anything until you actually see update notes, hoping for avatars is like waiting to win the lottery.
I'd rather have another Moogle Lottery than another empty promise of new avatar(s) from SE.

This is all I got to say.
SE said that WotG would eventually include new avatars. However, they are supposed to be lesser avatars, not like Shiva and crew. More like spirits.
I have no idea why SMN's have this fascination with new avatars when they'll just go right back to asking for another one two weeks later. Better to hope for SE to fix some of the core mechanics of the job rather then throwing another avatar at it I would think.
Was in the 1up Interview a while ago...
1UP: The Summoners want to know when you guys are going to start revealing more stuff about updates to Summoners. And will Astral Flow ever be better than the Level 70 blood pacts at higher levels? Basically Astral Flow isn't as good as some of the level 70 blood pacts that some summons have, like with Leviathan's Spinning Dive.
MG: First of all, as for new avatars, new summons, we can't say much yet. But we can say that there will be new summons, and yes, I said that in the plural. As for these new type of avatars that will be released. They will be a little bit different from the ones that already exist. They won't be as ability-based, or ability heavy. For example, the ones that we have now, they have like six or seven abilities per avatar. The new ones won't have as many.
I'd like to make an addendum: Will the Blood Pacts get charges like SCH stratagems?
4 Predator Claws in 10~ seconds could be construed as totally broken. That would mean you could get in 6-7 Predator Claws per SMN while Tiamat was on the ground. <_<
i don't see it much of a broken thing to worry about... Tiamat is in the game since like 3 years, making such old content a little faster to kill isnt gonna ruin everyone's experience. instead would give people time to go and try something else maybe.
"storing" bloodpact would be just like melees going /SAM with Icarus and the like, and would give the job a lot more flexibility.
as for the new avatars, they'd be used to fix the job to a certain extent.
imho SMN needs an avatar out fulltime that isnt carby and has some noticeable DD output : a single BP converting damage done into MP would work, for ex.
