No Halloween for Sex Offenders

About 1,200 violent or child sex offenders on probation or parole in Maryland have been ordered to hang these orange pumpkin signs -- or plain ones reading, "No candy" -- at their residences today. If they don't, the knock at the door will be from an officer of the law.

In California -- where the program is known as Operation Boo -- and other states, officials will conduct nighttime checks on sex offenders to ensure that they are in their homes, without costume and candy and with the outside lights turned off to discourage trick-or-treaters.

Just set up a sign saying "No Candy", then setup a laser pointer across the street pointed at your door. Then throw some red paint down and put some of those fake bullet holes on you're door.

It's the same every year, registered sex offenders are typically ordered to remain in their dwellings for halloween... it would be considered breaking probation if they were caught outside, or were discovered during a polyigraph test.

He placed a bowl of candy out on his doorstep, with a sign that said "Happy Halloween, please take one piece of candy only!" He then proceeded to hide out of sight and would just chill and watch the bowl during the night. If he saw a kid taking more than one piece, he would fly out of his hiding spot and send them all running and screaming.

Our apartments pass out signs for us to hang on the door if we don't want trick-or-treaters, I usually try to get any spares from any neighbors who don't use theirs so that I can plaster the door with them.

Id like to know whos dumb idea it was to only allow trick or treating during the hours of 5:30 to 8:00 (at least here it is). Why back in my day, you started at dark and didnt finish until you got tired. Now it ends when it gets dark Poor deprived kids of these years.

I did something similar except I had a bowl of candy in my lap and I was in a scarecrow costume and grabbed the hands of kids who took more than one piece. Was fucking epic. Had gloves and a mask on with some straw poking out of my sleeves and on my shirt buttons etc. Was uncomfortable as shit sitting there for hours but it was amazing. xD

Shit it's been like that for a few years here. Kids stop coming around at like 9ish and I don't go out till 11 and I used to like passing out candy and seeing all the different costumes. When I was a kid we would stay out till we were about to pass out then force ourselves to go to school the next day just to brag about our treasure from the night before.

In my neighborhood it was 6-7 PM and that was it. 5:30-8 seems like an eternity comparitively. I didn't get home from travel till almost 9 PM but the way things are going really blows for the kids.
