I filled up my tank with ~16.2 gallons the other day at 2.50, when all the other stations were 2.80 or so. I felt successful.

But I only have a 16 gallon tank. Max capacity, that's including reserve. I don't go to that gas station anymore.

It was more because everyone "expected" demand exceeding supply a couple years down the road. It's part artificial scarcity and part speculation. There was really no real shortage.

holy crap thats awesome. back in like 01 i remember a gallon being about a dollar. such a great feeling to get 6 dollars worth of gas and be stylin for a few days.

It's around 2:60-2:90 here in San Diego... unless your going to one of the high priced stations that is a mile away from a "normal priced" one
