    More help

So after receive my parts, and i happily put together on a wooden floor without any anti static strap.

When the moment of truth comes, i turn on my computer on and well, it is not running.

    Red Light on Video Card.

    LCD monitor said no signal.

So, do i need to send back and ask for another MOBO or GPU? Or what can reverse these situation?

Red light usually means there is a short somewhere. Make sure the motherboard is not making contact with the metal part of the case anywhere. Make sure the standoffs are in correctly on the bottom of the motherboard.

In short: Take everything out, put em back in one at a time. Make sure nothing is making contact where it shouldn't, and try again. Let us know if you still get the same result, and please post specific model number and parts of your computer so we can better assist.

So, i turned the powered on, the fan on the cases running, the LED turned on, the 3rd party heatsink running.

But there is a red light on my video card.

So can i pinpoint the problem toward the video card?

From googling a bit, apparently the lights are error codes depending on which are lit, they either mean your card isn't getting enough power or it's dead. Make sure you hooked up all the power connectors correctly.

yeah, but 650W is not enough for that computer?

even if the video card used up like 200W, the rest of the stuff cant possibly use all 450W.

So i assume the card is dead and asking for the RMA from newegg. I could possibly bring it to school and ask one of those computer professor. They should know a thing or two.

650W should be enough, but as he mentioned, have you made sure that power is connected in all the right places? If there's a port on your card, have you plugged that in? If there's an additional port on your motherboard that supplies additional power to your PCI-E ports, is that plugged in?
