Now's as good a time as any to call it and share our opinions on what we felt was the GOTY. My vote goes to MGS4, it's not the perfect game it was made out to be but I was still left pretty satisfied.

I'm going to have to say for me, it's without a doubt, Fallout 3. There were some absolutely fantastic games released this year. But this is the one I kept going back to, doing more quests, trying to get new weapons etc.
MGS4 gave me exactly what I wanted, so that one!
Metal Gear Solid 4. There were some close runner-ups, but MGS4 just had the overall polish and presentation to be numero uno.
As an MGS fan MGS4 wins it by a hair.
If it weren't for my love of the series I'd have to go with Left 4 Dead.
Even though I probably had more fun with Mario Kart Wii, Smash Brothers Brawl or Little Big Planet, I do agree that the overall presentation pushed MGS4 to the top.
Fallout 3, with Dead Space in a close second.
PS3:
MGS4
360:
Gears of War 2
That's right Kyo, you back me up bish!!
For pure entertainment, Left 4 Dead easily takes my GOTY. However, Persona 3(: FES) is a close second.
MGS4 hands down, best game i've ever played
Metal Gear Solid 4.
Kind of hard to say. MGS4 is pure win but Persona 3 was awesome too. Might want to break this into categories. On a side note, just finished Bioshock on PS3 and all I have to say is wow, the most over-hyped game I've ever played. It was good, but I guess I just bought too much into the reviews and such.
MGS4, but P4 is a fantastic game too.
MGS4.
Fallout 3 would've gotten it had there not been so many damned bugs in the game. There is no more frustrating experience than to be totally engulfed in a game only to be violently snapped out of it when it crashes.
MGS4 was slightly under the bar of Fallout 3 as far as overall experience, but not being snapped out of my gaming experience because of a bug gives it the edge.
MGS4
funfact: persona is anime with a button
MGS4.
Who cares if it was an interactive movie, it was the best interactive movie I've ever watched myself play.
Gonna have to go with Lost Odyssey. Fallout 3 was a close 2nd, I guess, but for story alone (although somewhat cliched) LO really can't be beat, some really powerful and memorable stuff. I really loved the game, hopefully they make a sequel.
Are you kidding me? After the first disc Lost Odyssey sucked tremendously. If it wasn't for Jansan and the music, that game would have sucked harder then a sorority pledge in front of 20 gang-bangers.
