FFXI Connection Issues

Having problems staying online in-game this evening. After a couple of minutes, I'll r0 and timeout to the character select screen. All other connections to the internet are good.

ISP: Time Warner (Roadrunner), note, we are in the middle of the ice storm affecting most of the midwest at this point.

It's been happening a lot to me lately.

I'm probably jinxing myself, but I'm amazed it's not Comcast.

I must be one of the lucky ones. Not a single outage of note lately.

However, back at my old apartment around this time, I would be having outages out the ass. So it may be the wiring, depending on the place.

Another person in the linkshell was having connection difficulties yesterday due to the ice storm.

I'm on TWC also.

That's happening to me a lot today too, but I am going to chalk it up to a shitty router that keeps dropping my connection for a few seconds.

Sorry for the jinx....but been having problems staying online random times....and I'm on Comcast but resetting everything seems to fix it when it starts up and I'm no where near all the storms.... Colorado in a city that's in a valley...so we barely get any weather when the rest of Colorado is getting shit on.

Yeah, brand new Belkin router here (wireless N), prior to flashing the firmware it would drop FFXI every few minutes. Afterwards, runs fine, but everything else (msn, vent, etc...) drops in and out.
