Maximizing Assault Points

My COR friend is finally getting closer to 75 (got his Joyeuse tonight too! Gotta grind tomorrow since he's 69 right now) and I've been wondering about what the best way to get points fast for him so he can get his Pahluwan Body as soon as possible.

Because we've never really done Assaults all that much, the only one we're able to do is Golden Salvage, which is actually pretty easy since I can use my sister's 75SMN to deal with the mimics.

The way I wanted to maximize my COR friend's Assault Points was to do this:

1. Enter with dual-boxed SMN and SAM, friend is controlling his COR
2. Find the Golden Figurehead with SMN.
3. When Rune of Release appears, disconnect SAM and SMN.
4. COR clicks Rune of Release and gets more than usual Assault Points because there's less people therefore more points for him?

I've heard that you can get more Assault Points for one person this way... but does it actually work? If not, I'll just do it the normal way (just keep everyone connected).

Back when assault first came out, you could force d/c the 2 not entering when selecting your mission to enter, enter solo and get huge amounts of points, but I think they fixed it, probably the same story for this, but i'm not really sure.

The only way to truly "maximize" assaults points is having armband when it's your first time, and that obviously only works once.

Btw dont need SMN to do this mission, its very easy, as long as you have a job with range attack, which cor has. Have someone of any job aggro chests, if its fake, 2nd pt member /range it from max range and the chest will deaggro, unable to draw in.
