Setting Blue Spells

When setting blue spells, the slots change colors depending on the different spells you set. What does that mean? Is there a certain way you should order spells? I've asked lvl75 blue mages and even they don't really know. Anyone wanna enlighten the BLU n00b? x.X

Every 10 levels you get more set points. The newly available slots are assigned a new color so you can equip spells for a level-cap event.
