Gathering =/= stalling for time. You're not holding on to mobs because you don't currently have the means to kill them, you're gathering them with full intent to kill immediately. For every one GM that has a problem with an astral burn, there are ten behind them that only give a damn about the people griefing.

Anyway, how could it be considered holding if you don't have claim on the target. I've seen people jailed for diagaing pulls and called it griefing, but as always it depends on the GM you get, the vast majority won't do anything to anyone involved as its tolerated but not recognised by SE.

If your puller takes the mobs that other people are XPing on, there can be cause for a GM to smack you around some.

Research mobs and zones and look for zones where no one goes. Do your burn party there. Avoid Korroloka like the plague. This is the formula for avoiding GM's at flowburns.

Pretty much this, also first rule = don't talk about it etc. Although I've thought about this before but how would SE nerf it without seriously messing with hate/levelsync mechanics?

Make xp chains capped, and increase the cap at intervals.

Levels 1-20, cap is 10

Levels 21-60, cap is 20

Levels 61-75, no cap

No more SMN burn, East Ron [S] not nerfed, meripos not nerfed. Everybody wins. I should work at SE.
