anyone having problems with sleep II wearing off to fast soloing brothers on Rdm?
Ive soloed this tons of times and not sure if it because of the update or what but the past few times I have tried this sleep wears off less then 20 seconds.

Take a look at the various posts describing the 'brd nerf'.
Mobs now have innate resistance to spells (nukes, enfeebles, what have you) of their element. It seems to vary from mob to mob and fortunately dynamis has been left alone.
What this means for Brothers, is that Tauruses, which are dark based, will have automatic half-duration on blm sleep. ES all you want, it will be half-duration. 30 seconds for sleep1, 45 seconds for sleep2.
guess thats about right considering max sleep i could ever land was 40ish seconds halving that plus chance of that getting resisted about 15ish seconds soooo yeah... <sadpandaface> guess i have to duo it now
ty for help
Necrobump, Is it possible to do this ENM with 2 melee, say pld/dnc and nin/dnc?
I've heard of it being done with a mage and thf/nin, so should be possible, though i have no idea how well those specific jobs would work. As long as at least one of you can kill it faster than they cure, and the other can at least survive until the other person kills theirs, it should be easy enough.
It would be pretty hard. They're really hard to enfeeble, and NIN can't really keep shadows up consistently in the kind of build it takes to outpace their curing because of double attacks, solid accuracy, and multi-hit WS. The NIN would have to intermittently kite, and make no real progress on his taurus.
They don't hit that hard, so it's possible PLD could turtle up and Atonement his to death when he went light on the cures for a long stretch, but I get the feeling that would be harder to pull off than it sounds.
Could maybe have both people fight the same mob and zerg one down, once you got it to 50%? Have both save tp until then, and shield bash the first cure? A good ku->vorpal for distortion could probably almost take it down from 50%, depending on how much def they have, since they have low hp.
I used to duo this as BLU/NIN RDM/BLM, before I finished leveling BLM. I'd aggro both of them, he'd bind > grav > dispel > Cs blizz 3 the small one dead, I'd DoT it with Disseverment, and HB spam it, casting shadows w/e needed, the problem with this was, sometimes he'd lag or something and end up dying for some inane reason or another, ususally it would be after killing it from being Doomed(don't ask me how), he solo'ed it alot so I don't get why he'd only die with me lol.
Blu/NIN can solo one of them fairly easily, with a strong physical build and good haste build- I use swift belt, turban, nashi body, homam hands/legs/feet, loq earring, I can keep shadows up fine with refueling, and keeping him sprout smacked(for slow), and mind blasted(for para), if nothing else it can hold the larger taurus, while the RDM solo's his.
In one scenario, w/o grav, I was able to DoT kite it down to 35% with poison breath and disseverment, before I ran out of mp, the rdm had died from being an idiot w/o rr mind you. Anyways, I managed to finish off the small one, and died and rested full, at the time I didn't have relic body, but I do now, and if I had yag drinks or something and w. legs(I didn't have them then), I could easily have just DoT kited it dead on blu/nin lol.
I highly doubt NIN/DNC could land enfeebles, or manage to keep shadows up, with self haste I have more haste than a NIN, but lower eva q.Q, but when these guys hit, they hit really hard, so idk. PLD/NIN might have a better shot imo, but depends on gear and skill, BLade:Kamu would prolly make this a lot easier.
I use to do this with Mnk/Nin and Rdm/blm.
ES sleep the big one, kill the small one with hundred fists, then kill the big one as you would any other mob.
bump from the bottom of the page..
I duo this every week with MNK/NIN + THF/NIN. We've lost twice out of.. 25-30 runs. Once because I ran out of tools at a bad time, and the other I don't remember.
We always have the THF run in and aggro, and the MNK hundred fists the small one.
Very possible with 2 melees.
