ffxi crashes on Vista

I have tried many times to fix this problem, I used all solutions, I checked every forum to find a solution for this but I couldn't.
I have LG notebook, 1.8 duel core
2GB ram, ATI AMD mobility raedeon X1600
Vista 32bit
here what I did.
I usesd the old and newer versions of windower, updated it Hook.dll on older and newer version but still same problem, I turned off all the plugins on the newer and older versions but didn't solve it.
I gave up on windower and I had to use the official POL but...... it crashed there even so I figured out that it's not the windower problem.
I turned off/uninstalled lots of softwares but still the same proble.
I turned off the UAC and ran FFXI on admin. ( for official and windower ) but still crashing...
I re-installed the game 3 times and formated it twice but still
I checked if my hardwares need updates but all updated
ok what I did more? I forgot
I don't want to go for XP copy before I find a solution for this, if no then... I will just forget about this stupid OP and go for XP

does anyone have any solution for this? btw it's crashing sometimes when checking log, checking bazzars or just running around

Do you have any FFXI UI mods? What are your drivers? These two can both cause game crashes.



I run both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows Vista and FFXI on both without issue. My guess is you have a driver that isn't playing well, because in the past when I've upgraded to a new set of drivers that new set will cause the game to crash at random intervals.

I updates all my drivers I checked everything. all drives were playing very well, I even took the laptop to the company to check it.

well... I changed the OP to XP, now everything is working, no crashing at all.
