In a lot of the malls around here I've noticed Microsoft has had those little "booths" or whatever like Dell often uses to sell/try out stuff in public. Guess they finally think they can profit off of a bigger atmosphere. Hopefully it doesn't turn into another Gateway Country Store.

Im glad Microsoft is waking up again. Over the last 5 years its seemed like they were asleep at the wheel or something. But now with Windows 7, Bing and now the microsoft store, it looks as if they are finally gearing up to take over the market once again. Microsoft is usually excellent when it comes to the products but with Google, and Apple having gained significant ground in recent times, I wonder if they can still compete.

I kinda see Microsoft starting to lose the negative stigma that's been surrounding them for so long. A lot of hate is turning towards Apple because of the holier-than-thou attitude that 95% of their users have. People who use Microsoft products and Linux products are more and more becoming the same users. If any store deserves people protesting outside of it, its the damn Apple stores!

Cool kids etc... I mean I work for them but I use Linux on a few of my boxes at home, Its just one of those meh kind of things. I tend to just talk to a few select people about it to avoid that cool kid backlash that seems to happen every so often.

If you are an graphic artist then ok, I can see it. But I get the 60 year old fucks that are having a mid life crisis and drop 3 grand on a P2 equivalent machine just because it looks aesthetic and hip.

Again, I run Windows but a majority of my home machines are various versions of Linux. So save the homer card prz.
