About DR:

DR is a small but active Linkshell based largely around EU prime time. We have been around for over a year now and have a great record of success. We cover a broad range of end game content including, but not limited to: Ground Kings, CoP Wyrms, WoTG HNMs, ToAU HNMs, Limbus, Sea, SCNM, ZNM, Einherjar, Dynamis, Bv2, KS99 and ofcourse the rare but obligatory Kirin.

We are firm believers that quality is more important than quantity, because of this we don't have excess members in our Linkshell. We generally try to stick at around 19-23 active members and we enjoy a near perfect success rate in every activity we undertake.

What we're looking for:

We have openings for around 4 people at this time, we may consider more if there are exceptional applications. Versatility and self discipline is imperative. A high level of comfort with your jobs and the knowledge to know how to best utilise your gear is very important. Because of the low-man nature of the Linkshell you may, as others have, slot into a specific role that will be used at most events. With this in mind, you need to be happy playing a single job at the majority of events if thats what's required.

Specific jobs that we're looking for at this time include BLM, WHM, BRD and an array of melee including WAR, SAM, DRK(multi hit/hp setup), DRG, RNG - please note, that if applying as a main melee you must still have (and be happy playing) at least one mage and/or support job.

Schedule breakdown:

A high amount of playtime is extremely desirable. Our "Scheduled" events are run between 5:30pm and 10:30pm GMT (If you're in the USA, that's 12:30pm-5:30pm EST)

Wednesday: Limbus@6:00PM / Einherjar@8:30PM
Thursday: Dynamis@6:30PM
Friday: Flexible
Saturday: Limbus@6:30PM / Einherjar@8:30PM / Rest of day is Flexible
Sunday: Dynamis@6:30PM / Rest of day is Flexible

HNM will usually always take priority over scheduled events, unless D1-3 Adamantoise or Behemoth which get none of our attention <_<, but if D4+ KB/Aspid/Faf in window, then these will be camped regardless of other events. Long-spawn HNM are optional camps (points are rewarded which can be used for ranking up, see next section), but the final 3-6 hours of long-spawn are mandatory camps if you're online. HNMs will also be camped on Tuesday (the free day), "Free day" only applies to scheduled events, such as Sea/Sky, etc

"Flexiable" days or periods are usually events such as Sea/SCNM/ZNM/Bv2/KS99

Focus of attention:

DryRoot is constantly evolving and it's schedule changes based on the desires of members. We gauge this using our own ranking and demand system. A system that we have spent a long time developing to be as flawless as possible. We put most of our time into events that members want to do. (You can see a current demonstration of this live here: DryRoot Demand). Though it's worth noting that our demand system doesn't strictly dictate which events get our priority or time. It's a tool used by leaders to better manage Linkshell time and resources.

Distribution & Linkshell Management

This is always a tricky subject, and it causes problems for many Linkshells. Though we are yet to have a single argument or bout of drama with regards to distribution or the way any loot is handled. In simple terms, we use a "weighted point system". One which can't be abused or monopolised and isn't influenced by leaders.

Points are awarded for attendance at events, these points can be used to increase "ranks" on individual items. The highest "rank" on an item when it drops gets to lot the item. However, each time you increase your rank, it costs more points. We have maintained a healthy lotting and distribution system since the Linkshell started.
