I'll make it short n sweet:
sign says no parking 8:30-9:30, I was ticketed at 8:39, but they wrote on the ticket the no parking time is 8:00-9:00.
What are the chances I can have the ticket thrown out over incompetence on the ticketers part?

You're still in the time lol
Still parked in the a no parking time frame so.....SOL?
"I was out by 8:20 to take care of errands before work, the time of the ticket is wrong". As I said, this is based on the ticketer's incompetence.
It doesn't mean anything. Really. They don't care. lol just pay the $50 fine, or w/e it is
Was it a coin meter or a meter with a receipt? If you can't prove it your gonna have to pay it.
Pay it and move on before the shit snowballs. Last thing you bother with is fighting them.
Wow Nynja is still alive.
Everyone who says you shouldn't fight it is a gigantic pussy.
Half the time, the ticketer won't show up when you contest it in court, and it'll be dismissed. That's what's happened every time I've done this. If you'd rather pay $50 than go to court, that's fine. For me, the $50 is more valuable than the time I'd spend trying to get the thing dismissed.
Holy shit, Kohan too LOL.
Oh damn, it's wild card also
Your thinking of police violations, or a small town...........
For parking meter or tickets from meter maids, you don't go in front of a judge........ you don't meet the person who gave you the ticket. You submit a appeal to the city, a date for a appeal hearing is set between a council representing the city and the ticketing authority.
Its usually one large room, with 40 other people in the room for the same reason......... you say the reason for the appeal, and get a judgement within seconds. For something like this, you should just pay.
I find that reasoning flawed, because, you could just use vacation time and still get paid for it, if the hearing is while you're at work.
Now if you're just saying you'd rather pay $50 and enjoy a BBQ in your backyard or hit up the bar rather than sit in a courtroom, if the hearing is on a day you already have off, that's fine.
jesus fuck parking ticket here is 10 bucks, wtf are you guys
You can generally get a ticket dismissed for having ANY non-factual information on it, whether it is relevant or not.
This is why many police cars now have printers in them, and tickets are printed automatically with maybe one or two fields for the officer to fill-in, because even mispelling his own name could lead to a dismissal.
That said this applies to NY, since you don't even live in the US I have NFC.
Holy shit man! WAY TO EXPLOIT THE SYSTEM DUDE!
What utter incompetence! How vigil are you to spot it. Fuck man, are you a detective of something?
