DD-WRT Issue

I've been using DD-WRT on a Netgear WNR834B-100NAR since last August and it's been running solid and without problems. Until the end of April I was on Comcast so I used the WAN port monitoring to keep track of my bandwidth and never had any issues with it. In the last couple weeks though it keeps losing the WAN port traffic in the graphs and I can't figure out why. I thought maybe something internally was full so I cleared all the traffic data on June 1st. It seemed to be working again till I went and checked this morning:

Everything is cleared except the last few days. The router has been on for 48 days straight (when I moved) so I'm not exactly sure what's causing the problem. Any ideas? I think my next idea is it'd be nice to have a router with gig ethernet...

The usage data gathered by dd-wrt's WAN traffic monitor is stored in nvram, which means that unless you specifically save it, it'll be lost when the router reboots. Have you verified the uptime of your router at 48 days? It looks like what happened is that the router rebooted itself on the 10th there.

If you're looking for a more persistent/in-depth way to monitor your usage with DD-WRT, check out their article on MRTG. This requires that you have another host (e.g., your computer) to store the data, but it'll give you much finer-grained detail.

Thank you much for the link on MRTG. I didn't realize that the usage data was only stored in NVRAM. As for the uptime I was going off both the upper right and this page:

Edit: can't for the life of me find SNMP, wondering if it's because I only have a mini build on this (I think it's the most it supports). The administrator tab has no services sub-tab and I don't see anything relating to it in the services tab either.

If it's a GL I think you initially needed to install with a mini build before you could install the full build, so it's possible if you stopped at that part. Generally they advise against using nvram backups upon re-flashing so depending on how much configuring you have to do, it may or may not be worth doing.
