How's Gladiator going?

Paladin went on vacation for like a week, warrior got jewed on shard drop rates last week. He needs to get 8 shards from 12 bosses this week to get his Shadowmourne, which means it's probably going to take another week. We've been playing 2v2 at 2400-2500 while our paladin is gone and it really feels like we're developing some synergy. The warrior taught me about berserker stance pummeling because I kept getting interrupted, so now that I know how it works I've fake casted pummel every time(I really feel like a scrub noob for not knowing about it already). I also switched up my spec to drop magic damage reduction in exchange for greater heal cast time reduction and I really like the throughput boost.

Flash heal is what I've been using - 1.36 second cast 700 mana cost heals for 5K

Greater heal - 2.26 second cast 1200 mana cost heals for 10K

So G. Heal is more efficient with speed and cost. Plus I get 25% haste on my next spell every time I shield someone, so it's really nice to G. Heal with that. Penance benefits from the haste, but it doesn't consume the effect, so I can Shield > Penance > G. Heal for 8K absorb 10K heal 10K heal all within 4 seconds.

I have enough points for the T2 haste dagger and I got some really nice hit/haste 277 heroic offset when I raided with BBB (and I have every single piece of mp5/spirit/haste/crit PVP offset because I do battlegrounds like a fiend) so I'm going to set-up a 700-800 haste build and see how that works. All the top rated priests recommend haste gear, but I've always felt that full mp5 has worked best for me. But this warrior has all the best PVE gear available and our games are already over pretty quickly so I imagine it will be even more ridiculous once he gets Shadowmourne(Shadowmourne is the equivalent of FFXI relic weapons, that's the whole reason I transferred to play with this guy). So all things considered the benefits from haste might outweigh mp5.

I have a 800 haste PVE build so I know that my cast times would be changed from

Spirit:
Penance 1.81
Flash 1.36
Greater Heal 2.26
Mana Burn 1.81

Haste:
Penance 1.52
Flash 1.14
Greater Heal 1.9
Mana Burn 1.52

My mp5 would plummet from like 500 to 250. 50 mana per second = 3K lost per minute. Considering most of my spells cost 600 mana, that's only like 5 spells per minute. Doesn't seem like such a big deal, but we'll see. That could really fuck me though in situations where I get spam burned to 0 mana and I need as much regen as possible, but I can't even remember the last time that happened. I'd also gain the +5K max HP boost from the BM haste trinket I can use while silenced/interrupted that also takes me out of execute range, but I'm playing double healer so that doesn't really seem necessary. Now that I think about it our 2v2 games went a lot smoother when I started wearing a BM trinket, it really is a lifesaver versus double dps maybe that's the boost I need to not get globaled by these shitty rogue teams.

Or I could be a bitch and try to make a hybrid gearset that has decent regen and haste instead of going for one extreme or the other.

Yeah, we were playing at 2500 MMR for the first few games that we did, we just didn't get a chance to play very much. We need like 2600+ for Gladiator, but I'm sure we'll get there with some practice and Shadowmourne. Shadowmourne is seriously retarded overpowered, it's not even funny. Not very many people have it because Blizzard only comes out with one legendary at a time and they release better weapons as standard drops for the next dungeon they come out with. It makes the difference between being able to tank somebody indefinitely and dying while I'm spamming uninterrupted heals. Basically, I'm not good enough to make Gladiator legitimately so I'm running the gayest team comp in existence and taking advantage of an exteremly overpowered legendary weapon.
