A little under 1k for everything. been doing a lot of research but still a complete noob when it comes to building pcs.Suggestions and comments greatly appreciated.thanks in advance.

GPU:
Check out the 460 1GB if you don't mind NV. Can get it for like <$200 with BCB at Tiger Direct. The 768mb version is also a choice if you need to save money though, but I'd still recommend the 1GB over it. Whatever you buy, don't pass up the 15% BCB if you can.

Memory:
I'd go ahead and spend the extra $10 to not get an open box. Just avoid OCZ and DDR3 with a spec. voltage of over 1.5v. G.Skill, Corsair, Crucial.

HDD:
Can go for the Spinpoint F3 1TB for $5 more if an extra 500GB is worth more than the WD brand.

PSU:
Pick something out from these lines. You'd be fine with 5xx/6xx watts.

On-board sound has come a long way so you don't need a sound card unless you're an audiophile or have some specific setup that you need to accommodate.

...and lol at that "Gaming Network Card". Drop that and spend that money to get a 5870, 470, or 480.

ok cool. going to go with the 460 then and the 1tb. guess ill wait to buy everything to see if i can catch somethings on neweggs deals. hopefully by then ill have extra cash to get an SSD to.

Onboard sound has indeed come a long way but I'd still recommend picking up a sound card such as one of the Xonar variants unless you're strapped for cash. Of course, this is assuming that you have a good surround sound system to make it worthwhile.

Creative's sound cards suck for the most part, btw.
