SUN, OCT 3
San Francisco at Atlanta (-7) - Why is San Fran so quick to throw Singletary under the buss? Do they not remember the past several years? They were much much worse than this. Atlanta have proven they are a legit team by going to nawlins and pulling out a win in overtime. ATL is a legit NFC contender. Atlanta -7.
Cincinnati at Cleveland (+2) - This will provide a good opportunity for Cinci to hit their stride. I see no reason they shouldn't break this game open.
NY Jets at Buffalo (+5.5) - I actually still like the Buffalo secondary, despite getting eaten alive by Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers Mark Sanchez is not however. Seems like a trap game however (how'd that work last week for me?). Buffalo won their last meeting with the Jets, I think they can compete in this one. Buffalo +5.5.
Seattle at St. Louis (+2) - If Jackson was 100% for this game, I'd probably pick them. The rams have been pretty damned competitive in their games this year with a rookie QB. I think they can be competetive in this game, but I don't feel comfortable with just two. Seattle -2.
Denver at Tennessee (-6.5) - Mareno is out of this game, and hopefully Vince Young can play at a level similar to earlier in the season. I really like Orton and the young, talented WR group in Denver against the TN secondary. I'll take TN to win, and Denver +6.5.
Detroit at Green Bay (-14.5) - Detroit is another winless team that have been fairly competitive early in the season. Green Bay, however, isn't the team that will allow you to hit your stride, and with Best at something less than 100%, it's not looking good for Detroit. Down a starting QB and a habbled starting RB, look for Green Bay to have a huge bounce back game off of last weeks loss. Green Bay -14.5.
Baltimore at Pittsburgh (-2.5) - Always one of my favorite games to watch. a 3 point spread in this game is like a 10 point spread in any others. These games usually have more hard hits than points. The Pitt defense has shown that so far, they are far and away the best defense in the NFL. The Jets shut down Baltimore, so I like Pitt to do so as well. Pitt -2.5.
Carolina at New Orleans (-12.5) - Congrats on your new coach Carolina. Don't know if The Chin is going to New York or Carolina, but this offseason should be interesting nonetheless. Oh...the game. Nawlins has a QB with a leg brace on and a starting RB on the bench. They still put up 30 and win big. Nawlins -12.5.
Indianapolis at Jacksonville (+7) - Despite going down to Houston and losing a game that Houston has probably had circled for 6 months, I think Indi is the best team in the league. I don't know if they're as complete as maybe a green bay, but they are still incredibly viable. Jacksonville, has what may be the worst secondary in the NFL. Vick shredded them...what's Manning going to do? Indi -67.
Houston at Oakland (+3.5) - Another game that could possibly be a trap. I think Aso is hobbled, but so is Johnson. An elite cripple fight I suppose. I'm not jumping off the Oakland bandwagon yet, and I'll take this as my upset of the week. Oakland to win.
Washington at Philadelphia (-5) - I'm not going to regurgitate the storylines here, but suffice it to say, McNabb should be motivated. He knows Philly better than anyone else. I like Washington to pull the upset here.
Arizona at San Diego (-9.5) - Two of Arizona's top 3 WRs are out, their QB sucks, and they can't settle on a starting RB. Not a good combo going into a tough road game. San Diego -9.5.
Chicago at NY Giants (-3.5) - Could Chicago actually be a good team? Might Smith save his job? Cutler has looked rather beastly under the Martz system (and he hasn't died yet). If New York can get pressure up front, it's going to be a long day for Chicago, but I going to stick with the team that's been rolling. Chicago to continue their undefeated streak.
New England at Miami (+1) - Monday night...home underdog...and Brady's MNF history isn't exactly a text book on how to play great. My real worry here is the NE TEs. Shiancoe and Keller have eaten the Miami secondary in the last two weeks. Word is that Miami may be throwing in Sean Smith to play the nickle. I like the Dolphins to actually pull down a couple of INTs in this game and pull out a win.
Fuck Tyche, cake ass nigga. Always behind with the new NFL threads.
SO I SHALL DO IT IN HIS PLACE.
New York Jets @ Buffalo - Revis sits out a second game and the Fightin' Fitzpatricks take advantage.
Cincinnati @ Cleveland - Delhomme to return? Not a good thing for the Browns. Pacman to return? Not a good thing for Delhomme.
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh - Heinz field turf takes on a life of it's own and starts eating football players. No one survives, and not a single fuck is given that day.
Denvter @ Tennessee - http://media.sacbee.com/static/weblo...-shirtless.jpg
Detroit @ Green Bay - Jahvid Best is Detroits best option, and he's got the turf toe. Aaron Rodgers puts on a show.
San Francisco @ Atlanta - Roddy White is a helluva drug.
Carolina @ New Orleans - Carolina beats the Saints in the regular season, super bowl champions. John Fox extended. Tony Pike in at QB.
Seattle @ St Louis - Earl Thomas is going to pick off his old rival Bradford so many times it won't be funny.
Indianapolis @ Jacksonville - Indy may get the win, but Jacksonville got the sell out. So in their eyes, it's a wash.
Houston @ Oakland - Gradkowski can ball, that is all.
Washington McNabbs @ Philly Vicks - Game of the week? I don't know. Chokey McFat vs a slower Vick with better receivers. Shanahan has been disappoint, and Andy Reid believes football doesn't actually have a game clock. Probably will end in a tie, but McNabb knows about it this time.
Arizona @ San Diego - San Diego got blacked out, LOL
Chicago @ NYG - NFC East, who gives a shit.
New England @ Miami - Shit mods team plays like shit. Hell, they'll probably do their best shit mod impersonation and show up to the game when they feel like it.
