Poll- Heavy Metal

This is an informal poll by BG. This is a test run to gauge the player base and to give posters access to semi-scientific data for use as reference when making requests on the Official Forums.

There has been a lot of heated discussion about the number of Heavy Metal Plates needed to upgrade an Empyrean Weapon to the level 95 stage. Balancing the power of the weapons versus the difficulty of acquiring the needed plates, how many Heavy Metal Plates do you think would be reasonable for level 95 Empyrean Weapon upgrades?

150 seems reasonable for the amount of Emps out there, the demand will be very high since they're sellable. If they become EX at any point in time the drop rate will have to be improved.

150 would have been fine, and there still would have been substantial amounts of gil involved in this stage.

150 is the most reasonable 50 > 50> 75 > 150 or 50> 75> 75>150 , id even be ok with shield / harp being 100

150. I am also of the opinion that silver mirrors should be cut down as well.

Silver Mirrors are a little ridiculous, in that they still sell easily at 50k each (10 mil for a DA weapon). Considering that they're generally not that awesome, it seems excessive.

150 for a couple of reasons. 75->150 makes more sense, also the improvements on stats unless there's something hidden isn't worth more than that most of the times...

150 would be fair seeing as the amount of time required to obtain 1500 plates is stupidly terrible in comparasion to how many plates you can get in one VW run much less the pitiful amount that comes out of a pouch. Silver Mirrors should be dropped to 50 along with the devious die to 50 as well.

It shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg to get one die to upgrade a weapon that is nowhere near it's emperyan counterpart.

P.S. whoever voted 1500 is fine, is obviously trolling.

Silver Mirrors are fine honestly.

They drop frequently from low-tier and old VW alot.

150-200 Heavy Metal seem like what the upgrade should really be but SE needs to keep people occupied lest they lose subscriptions.

I think the number is completely fine as long as they raised the double damage rate on the aftermath. Pouches are an extremely common drop off of Zilart T3s and if a linkshell is working specifically to get somebody's weapon upgraded then it shouldn't take very long at all.

Frequently is a strong word. We did a 7 person voidwatch last Sunday, even with 350 red light from staggers plus cells we only saw one Silver Mirror. I need two hundred of those shits for my double attack axe which isn't even that good. >_>

Picked 150, but would go for upped drop rates if it was significant. Something like Pouches only drop, 10-20 plates per pouch, maybe knocking off 50-75 per fight with a full alliance. In general, the community doesn't seem too interested in repeating the days of Dynamis and slaving away for one person's benefit, and like it or not, some people had difficulty just getting one Emp to 90, let alone multiple. Odds are these people won't being doing VW too often.
