Good roach killers?

This morning I believe I spotted a roach in my bathroom. I couldn't get a good look at it since when I noticed it the little bastard bolted and ran under the floor trim. Anyway with that said I was wondering if anyone else ever had a roach problem before and knew of any good bug sprays, poisons, etc. to get rid of it (them?).

Sprays are being reactive, not proactive. They don't get to the problem of a potential infestation if you have one.

Buy some roach traps based on what your budget can afford and put them in the kitchen/pantry/bathroom. Seal up any cracks you may have, keep your food sealed, try not to leave dishes in the sink overnight.

Combat is cheap roach/ant killer.

Well my landlord said they'll lay some traps around my bathroom trim to see what I'm dealing with then call an exterminator depending on what they catch.

Coworker said it could be a water beetle to. Said they're real common around where I live. Either way I want to confirm what I'm dealing with and get rid of the fuckers ASAP.

Look up diatomaceous earth. Your local hardware store should sell it. Powder you put in corners, cracks, behind appliances to control infestation. It's all natural, too. There's different types. If you have pets, I'd suggest food grade. Might find that at a local animal feed store. It's the equivalent of walking on a field of saw blades for them. Tears up their exoskeleton. Quite medieval, really.
