So our ls killed LOO and got an Octave Club. So far it looks pretty ordinary, anyone else get one and find a latent or hidden effect or is it just a cruel joke?

If there IS a latent, my bet is on something obvious like having songs active.

Was just thinking... someone with a Kraken needs to get one and Dual Wield... Octave = 8, maybe it guarantees 8 hits a round on Kraken?

would be nice if did guarantee 8 hits on a Kraken, but that *may* be to nice of SE.

my first thought would be songs (double or a combination)

seeing as how Octave is from music, having brd songs up may unlock kraken like stats?

IE: x1 march = 2-4 hits
x2 march = 2-8 hits

not sure, just a thought ^^;

Initial testing shows it's behaving like a regular weapon. No multi-hit. ...Which I gotta believe means that there's a latent waiting to be discovered.

Testing now with BRD and RDM and were only getting 1 hits.

EDIT: Haste + Dual March and still nothing, we tried every song and nothing happened.

If this has a latent, we can't figure it out.

Thats a decent idea. Someone needs to try it with a Kraken though.

Honestly, if it was like a Trail weapon, that would be awesome.

I would gladly WS that into a kraken club, even if I had to solo it. Then I would level DRK, because that should be a requirement if you own one.

I would bet good money that there is some way to turn an Octave literally into a Kraken. If there is some other way to get it to multihit, and you can dual wield with a Kraken, that is beyond broke.

EDIT: Maybe it can only multihits if DRG uses it
EDITEDIT: If DRG uses it and emotes with a wyvern out
