New Mobo Problems

Okay so i got myprocessor and motherboard in the mail today. I took old mobo out and popped new one in with same HD Vid Card etc. Put the processor in and plugged everything up.

Plugged up the big 20x slot psu cord to mobo, along with the 4x slot thingy
Plugged up system header (correctly)
put my old ram in mobo (184pin, mobo supports dual 184pin and 240pin)
put my video card in.

I turn the computer on, it comes on processor starts fans run HD grumbles like it usually does, only my monitor refuses to come on. {Help me out!}

edit: forgot to say that everything else plugged in (mouse kb sound ethernet) doesn't work either when i turn on comp.

Hold Insert while booting, that should force video to display.

Keyboards do, unless you don't have it plugged in.

I can't turn the computer on with the button either, i have to flip the switch in the back. nor can i turn the computer off with the button.

Sounds like you haven't connected the wires to the panel properly.

Plus, in order for the computer to turn on the first time, the power button has to have been pressed (with the PSU switch on 1).

holding insert did not work.the numlocks key,capslock, scrolllock, wont comeon.

note: forgive mynonspaces sometimes. brothers keyboard is messeed up

Stick your tongue on the PS2 keyboard port and tell me if you feel anything.

whenever i swap the psu switch to 1 the processor comes on and the fan starts and the computer grumbles like it's loading, just nothing else does.

What PSU do you have? What mobo?

only thing i know about the psu is it says ATX SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY

editsu is on 115V

Sounds like you might need to RMA your mobo.
