Seems to be a big problem for Europeans tonight, surfing the internet works great but playing FFXI is another story. R0 every 30 sec, 3 of my friends just confirmed they have the same problem. Anyone else?

No R0 but I've been getting a whole bunch of POL error crashes. -__-;
I get r0 problems if I stay in the windurst city, any zone, too long. Not sure what's causing it, as I've never had this problem before. I can access web sites just fine, including Japanese ones, so it must be server-side.
Oh, posting from California also.
Log on, R0 and DC, log on mule, R0 and DC (Like I log on, I see R86...R12...R0), log back on main, R0 for 30 seconds and finally connection came back.
I haven't had any RO problems, but people in my exp PT today sure did. At one point 3 members all RO'd and dc'd, and then once they returned they continued to have problems. After about ten minutes of this we just disbanded the PT.
So yea somethings up.
completely r0'd a few times, but not DC. But major lag in my xp pt yesterday, that I just looked for a rep for myself, it was too evil.
I've gotten a few r0's lately myself. It only lasted a few moments though.
Comcast sucks my ass.
I've only been seeing R0 problems in this last week or so. What is strange it happens on two of my PCs simultaneously, but not on my fiancee's PC. Go figure.
It certainly appears to be a server-side issue since the people that are R0ing usually can still access information on the web, teamspeak, etc.
Went into Apollyon last night as the only NIN in the alliance, then pretty much started to get 5-10 seconds of R0 every minute or so. Made for a fun time.![]()
We kept losing members to R0 last night in Dynamis. But isn't that supposed to happen?![]()

Something you can try, just to determine if it is your connection or if it is an FFXI problem:
Try a sustained ping test to a major web site like google.
Go to Start, Run, type cmd. At the command prompt type "ping google.com /t" without the quotes obviously.
Either watch it (watching for "Connection timed out"), or let it run for a while and when finished hit Control C. Should give you statistics on how many packets were sent, recieived, and lost. (% lost should be zero, or very close to it) I have been having major R0 problems lately but it has been my connection every time, not FFXI.
Won't work behind some firewalls.
yesterday I was unable to log on due to R0ing. I could get into PoL send messages and everything just fine, but if I logged into any of my chars I would get like R130 then R0 right away. All i was able to get was "<<< Welcome to [Server Name] >>>" and couldnt get linkshell message.
I am hoping the problem doesnt continue later today when I get home (using school comp atm).
I am in the USA (pennsylvania) also. So if it's a PoL issue I doubt it is just with Eruope.
Been getting wierd r0 also, never dc'ing entirely.

I had this last night and now this morning. I have 2 different computers that exhibit the same behavior despite one being connected to the router wirelessly and one directly. Also, no other apps are affected: my streaming radio, downloads, web browsing, etc are all unaffected.
I think SE has some malfunctioning equipment.

I woke up this morning to a message telling me that I had cancelled my account. :wtf:Originally Posted by aurik
Also, browsing the AH works fine -- coincidentally, the AH is run on a different server.
Maybe I just don't notice it cuz I think it is just my shitty connection acting up againOriginally Posted by aurik

A couple people having problems have cited Comcast... I had the same problems with frequent R0 but never quite disconnect last night and am on Comcast. Is everyone with the problem on Comcast?
