its spliced right when he gets in elevator... with obvious "electronic interference"
Still kinda freaky, well done.

That trailer is a LOT more enjoyable than the actual movie was.
You thought this was worth a thread?

The segment that they showed on CNN this morning just had it from the point where they were in the elevator, which makes it fairly creepy.

I mean, it's the digital age now, any douche with a PC and some basic software can do basic edits, and if you're trained a bit they can look nearly professional. People get that with photos now for the most part, they understand how easily they can be doctored but for some reason people don't seem to understand the same goes for video.
I'm really to the point now that I have a hard time believing anything that I see, especially stuff like this that looks like a art student's project.
What if one day one of those videos or pictures about ghosts, demons, aliens or ufos is actually real but everyone thinks its fake.
edit for clarification
I don't think its real and i don't want to defend (or attack) people who want to believe in such, although nicely made but still fake videos. It's just a thought that came to my mind after watching the vid and thinking "hmm k, obviously fake but nice".
That's almost as lame as that show on tv that hunts ghosts at random hotels and shit and has a camera crew of like 20 people yet every time they see/hear something, the cameras are missing.
That's certainly no reason to dive in like these ghost fanatics and just assume that everything short of B-movie footage is real and defend it unto death with no real reason to do so other than stubbornness and unflinching contempt for reason. And even if it was real, what's the difference? Science and the supernatural have coexisted for decades without ever rubbing up against each other, and I see no reason why it would change. If unquestionable evidence of their existence was found, it would just be another avenue of research to take and I seriously doubt that the knowledge of those things being real would do much to change our lives other than to create a market for "Dr. Snozzlecock's Ghost-B-Gone spray!"Originally Posted by crazyrabbit
To go on a tangent, I was in a class once, small, about 11 people, I was the only guy in it and the only person who thought ghosts and whatnot were a load of fucking bollocks. I debated it with them on a pretty constant basis and the only argument they could ever come up with is "Well you can't DISprove it!" Now wait a minute, I'm not the one making gigantic logical leaps on the basis of anecdotes concerning unreproducible events/circumstances, why is it my job to defend the natural world to YOU? Honest unquestioning belief in this sort of thing is actually a rather more arrogant than elegant position to take as it assumes everything we know about science and psychology is wrong and the only real explanation is one that cannot be measured or empirically observed by more than one person at one time. But still they insisted that it was up to me to disprove their personal experiences, so I gave up. Women. Gawd.
That was awesome lol, I showed my mom and dad and they both shit themselves tooOriginally Posted by IncredibleGulk

I dont think I can really believe any of these videos or anything that shows "proof". But I'd like to believe that there is life after death, the human "soul" or consciousness or whatever you want to call it is such an amazing dynamic thing I would like to believe that after death it goes somewhere. Wether that be heaven or the "other side" or whatever, a universe where life ends at death seems kinda boring![]()
We may never have proof regarding the existence of God or another plane of existence, however what if one day we uncover exactly how the human body works in such a way that we truly understand how all the electrical impulses and chemicals come together to form our thoughts and feelings, and can tell exactly how our brains interact with our body to produce all the sensations and body language of love, fear, compassion, etc. Basically, one day we discover exactly what our "soul" is, how to manipulate it and how to reproduce it?Originally Posted by Cephius
What implications would that have for the supernatural? For religion?
The implication for the latter would be that they would deny it, and then suicide bomb you. I hope we're all wearing raincoats that day.Originally Posted by Khamsin
People who want to believe in mystical events will always find an outlet. It doesn't matter the huge strides that science has made over the centuries to dispel one myth after another, they just keep pace by coming up with more elaborate unreproducible scenarios to defend their ridiculous assertions.Originally Posted by Khamsin
I've only had one situation where I was truly stumped as to what the hell was going on. I was downstairs on the computer, when movement caught my eye. In the corner of the room there was a large clear inflatable exercise ball (the big ones you sit on) sliding across the floor parallel to the wall. Keep in mind I said *sliding*, not rolling. There are stripes running along the latitudinal axis of the ball so it was easy to tell it was not rolling. One of our cats was sitting on a subwoofer (the stereo was not on) next to the ball as it was moving, staring at it, puzzled. It moved at a constant rate for about 2 feet and then came to a stop. I could see the entire exercise ball, and there was nothing on top of it, nor was anything under it. There is no heater duct close to it (the only one is in the ceiling very far from it), and the space is enclosed with the exception of the door leading upstairs. There were no drafts or large air currents, and the other cat was upstairs. The only way air could have moved it as far as I can tell would be for it to fire up directly underneath it, causing it to float a little above the floor. There's nothing in the room that I know of which could do that.
Btw, the ball looks just like this, except it's clear instead of purple tinted. You can see the lines I was describing in this image:

To this day I have no clue how the ball moved in the manner I observed. That being said, it sure as FUCK wasn't ghosts or any bullshit like that.Wish it would happen again though, because while I don't believe in ghosts it was still creepy as hell.
