Link? 199 wouldn't be that bad...

Or any big apple site. They're having a developer's conference now. That price is with a new contract of course. 16GB version is $299, there's a white version as well.
We on midgard miss you!
Yeah wow... those poor fools who stood in line for overpriced and now outdated Iphones... ouch!

Wtf, $199 for an iPhone?
I just paid $329 for my 16gb Touch a month ago......
Lame. I just bought a Samsung Glyde last week and re-upped with Verizon. I suck.
My Razr's been acting up and I almost bought a new Iphone last weekend. I saw that Apple was having one of these conferences so good thing I decided to wait. My mom was willing to go half/half on the $400 version too, looks like I won't even be needing it!
Sucks it's not out until July though![]()
Just a few more weeks, unless it's like...late July.Originally Posted by Deejay

All iPhone 2G users will be grandfathered and won't be required to pay more per month for as long as they choose to use the service, including past the end of their contract.
Nice, so everyone should buy the 8 gig 2G iphone now before getting the 3G in July, and it'll pay for itself after 3 years and 4 months.Originally Posted by octopus
Game over. Apple wins.
Apple took away a lot of criticisms for the iPhone. Sure there are some things still left to complain about so don't worry about that. This new launch just might propel the iPhone to be number one in the smartphone market within two years.
Go Apple! (And poor me because I'm going to have no free time from now until after xmas due to work.)
$199 for 3 gig +gps with 2 year contract sounds like a nice price if you want one. My old Nextel 730 w/ gps was 350 back in the day when it first came out, for reference.
Get rid of AT&T and I'd think about it.
Here in northern VA, my work uses AT&T and well, cell service is horrible, my personal Verizon phone service everywhere.
AT&T isn't so bad, it's one of the better cellphone companies outthere IMO. Cellphone service isn't too bad on it depending on what phoen you have, the razr has terrible phone reception, but I recently got a different AT&T phone and it gets great reception.
I have T-mobile and a phone that will be 4 years old when this comes out, as well as never having an iPod or digital camera, so it's kind of a no-brainer.
I am QQing about the extra $10/mo for 3G data plan though - it'll be like $84/mo after taxes for the lowest-minutes plan - I'm only paying $51/mo right now for more minutes but no frills. An extra $400 per year makes the fact that the phone is way cheaper than before not as shiny.
But yeah, get.
3G not 3 GB, it's $199 for 8 gigabytes, $299 for 16 gigabytes.Originally Posted by Krystl
This news is like fucking sex and a slap in the face to all those who bought an iPhone when they came out just because they were cool. The service is the only shitty thing about this phone. Is it still like 70 bucks a month?
Guess what? I can buy one of these too 8)Originally Posted by Maguspk
I've heard that Verizon is going to start accepting plans with unlocked phones. So if you can find a way to unlock an iPhone, more power to you.
And to make W-CDMA and HSDPA work on CDMA2000/EV-DO Rev A networks, and then you'll be golden.Originally Posted by Huggo
